Mohamed Elneny has committed his long-term future to Arsenal.
It was announced on Monday afternoon that the Egyptian midfielder, who arrived from FC Basel in January 2016, had inked an extension to stay at the North London club.

In truth, the news hardly came as much of a surprise. Not only had some reports claimed Elneny was close to agreeing a new deal at The Emirates, the tweet he sent shortly before the announcement was made was as good as confirmation.

Although there was barely 20 minutes between Elneny's tweet and official confirmation from the club, this was ample time for some of the Wenger Out Brigade to make the obvious joke.
To them, the 'good news' Elneny had promised was interpreted as being the imminent departure of Arsene Wenger, who - as you might have heard - isn't every Arsenal supporter's cup of tea at this moment in time.
