Phil Neville linked with taking charge of England Women’s team

As things stand, the FA are yet to appoint a permanent replacement for Mark Sampson as England Women's head coach.

Mo Marley is currently in the role on an interim basis, and recently named a squad for a ten-day training camp which will begin this weekend. Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live on Wednesday, Chelsea left-back Claire Rafferty discussed who might be in line to take the role, suggesting Phil Neville may be interested. He also spent time coaching in Spain with Valencia, beginning the role before his brother Gary was appointed as the La Liga side's manager. Rafferty also added that several people had dropped out of the running for the position, one of those being John Herdman, who recently became manager of Canada's men's team after seven year's in charge of the country's women's team.
