Patrice Evra has admitted that he 'isn't excited' by the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager at Manchester United.
Rangnick was confirmed as United's temporary boss until the end of the season last week, but has yet to take charge in the dugout due to work permit issues, however, that has now come through and the German will take charge of the Red Devils' game at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The 63-year-old will be in the stands tonight (Thursday 2 December) at Old Trafford for United's game against Arsenal, in which a win will help close the five-point gap the Gunners currently have.
Michael Carrick will take charge of his third and final game as caretaker boss in which he has one win and one draw to his name so far - beating Villarreal and drawing 1-1 away to Chelsea last weekend.
Rangnick's appointment has been met with eager excitement from some fans of United, with many believing the club are showing a long-term vision, with the German moving into a consultancy role once this season has concluded.
However, Evra is not one of those who is as hopeful and the former United and Juventus defender admitted he is 'bemused' by the decision to go for the German.

"I'm bemused," he told Amazon Prime.
"I can't be excited when we sack a manager. I feel like every season is a deja vu.
"We'll see. Hope, I've got hope, but being excited, no.
"I will stay positive, but not excited"
United are looking to pick up their first league win since October when they beat Arsenal's North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 3-0.
