All is not well

Nottingham Forest’s problematic season has taken a new turn after reports confirmed that club captain Joe Worrall has been training away from the first team for three weeks.

Steve Cooper is under an increasing amount of pressure following Forest’s 5-0 thrashing to Fulham on Wednesday night.

Owner Evangelos Marinakis is running out of patience after overseeing just one win in 11 games – despite spending big since returning to the top flight last season.

One supporter found his entry pass to the ground on the floor after he stormed out following Fulham’s fourth.

Cooper is expected to take charge for Forest’s game against Wolves however replacements are being lined up, with Marco Silva and Julen Lopetegui the rumoured names.

As well as Worrall, defender Scott McKenna has also been instructed to train away from the first team, however his reasons are said to be related to contract issues, as per The Telegraph.

Marinakis already has a fractured relationship with McKenna’s agent, who is a representative of forgotten Forest man Harry Arter.

Ahead of Saturday’s crunch game at Molineux, Cooper said he can’t afford to think about his own future.

“When I walk out of here the only thing I’ll be focused on is the game against Wolves,” Cooper stated.

“I won’t walk out of here thinking about fearing for my job, that’s a terrible thing to think. All I will think about is changing last night into something more positive.”
