That’s how good he’s been

A group of Arsenal fans have set up a GoFundMe page in order to raise £25m so that they can pay West Ham more for Declan Rice.

Rice joined the Gunners in the summer from West Ham in a £105m deal and has instantly become a fan favourite.

On Tuesday, the England international headed home a 97th minute winner against Luton Town to extend Mikel Arteta’s side’s lead at the top of the table.

Although a lot of money, £105m seems like a bargain for some Arsenal fans who actually believe they’ve underpaid for his services.

As a result, they have now set up a GoFundMe page in jest as they hail the midfielder as the best player in the Premier League.

“In light of the unfortunate robbery of West Ham United. We are asking Arsenal fans to come together to raise funds for West Ham United to compensate the underpayment of Declan Rice,” the page says.

“It has become evident in the last 15 weeks that Edu and Arsenal were the beneficiaries of a £25,000,000 underpayment to West Ham United.”

At the time of writing, the page is yet to receive a donation.

After the game Piers Morgan praised Rice after he explained how he “gambled” with a late run into the box, knowing it could be the difference between one point or three.

He said: “This interview, and his goal last night, and his Herculean performances all season, are why Declan Rice is already one of the best signings in Arsenal history.”
