Marouane Fellaini's Manchester United future remains uncertain.
The Belgian midfielder, signed by David Moyes in 2013, could leave Old Trafford on a free at the end of the season with his contract due to expire.
Having scored a late winner against Arsenal last weekend, Jose Mourinho revealed he hoped Fellaini would stick around and sign a new deal at United. Following this, the former Everton player has claimed United have made a mistake in the way they've handled their offer of a contract extension.
Days later, and Fellaini was presented with another opportunity to show the club and all their supporters precisely why he was worth all the fuss as he started United's Friday night game at Brighton. He failed miserably.
Playing in midfield, Fellaini was slow and cumbersome on the ball, frequently losing possession. Although he wasn't directly involved in Brighton's opening goal on the night, when he was eventually substituted minutes later, plenty of United fans were hoping this was his final performance for the club.
