Man United players are concerned it’s affecting the squad’s harmony

Manchester United’s players are concerned that Erik ten Hag’s hardline approach is affecting the squad’s harmony.

United have experienced a difficult start to the season, losing five of their opening 10 games, to leave them sitting eighth in what is their worst start to a Premier League campaign since the 1986-87 campaign.

Since his arrival, Ten Hag has forged a reputation for taking a zero-tolerance approach – as witnessed in the way he has handled situations with players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and more recently, Jadon Sancho.

Although he’s received plaudits for the way he’s handled certain events, the Daily Mail have reported that some members of the squad fear that the Dutchman’s man-management is creating a negative vibe around the club.

Ten Hag’s ongoing feud with Sancho is also said to be one of the contributing factors behind so much disruption. The England international has been exiled from the squad after disagreeing with the manager’s public decision to drop him for their game against Arsenal in September.

Sancho has also refused to apologise to Ten Hag and as a result, has been told he can’t even eat with the senior team.

The Mail have also said any private apology from Sancho – should the winger make one – will be made public by the club.
