‘How is that not a red for Grealish?’

Manchester United fans have claimed that Jack Grealish was lucky to escape a red card in their derby day defeat to Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side ran riot at Old Trafford and comfortably put three past their rivals to move to second in the table, two points behind league leaders Tottenham.

Erling Haaland was the star of the show and opened the scoring as he converted the penalty that was awarded by VAR after Rasmus Hojlund was adjudged to have pulled back Rodri in the box.

Haaland then doubled his and City’s tally early into the second half as he nodded home Bernardo Silva’s delicious cross.

Phil Foden then finished the game off as he got on the end of Haaland’s teasing ball to make sure of a brilliant win for the Premier League champions.

To compile United fans’ misery even more they were left angered by the fact that City ended the game with 10 men after arguing that Grealish should’ve been sent off.

Grealish lashed out at Sofyan Amrabat after the Moroccan’s coming together with Foden as the former pushed the United midfielder away.

United fans were left in disbelief at the decision not to review the England international’s actions.

“With the quality of referring going on how is that not a red for Grealish?” wrote one fan.

A second fan said: “Grealish hits Amrabat in the chest right INFRONT of the referee, and NOTHING was given. Casemiro would’ve received jail time for this.

“Why is Grealish not getting any card for hitting Amrabat like that?” said another.
