Lionel Messi admits he would sometimes like to go ‘unnoticed’

Lionel Messi has admitted that he would sometimes 'like to be able to go out unnoticed' but is content with life at Paris Saint-Germain. The 34-year-old was speaking to Football France after he was awarded his seventh Ballon d'Or award, where he discussed settling into his new club in Paris as well as his departure from his beloved Barcelona in the summer. And Messi admitted that whilst everything has been going well for him since his move, he would like to spend time out with his family without being recognised. "I'm happy with everything that has been happening," he said. "But, I do have to admit that sometimes I would like to be able to go out unnoticed and enjoy family time without being recognised." Messi then added that he still likes the connection he has with supporters and that the Messi we see in public is different to the one behind closed doors. He said: "I'm not complaining, though, as it's always nice to receive a compliment or a smile or to be asked for a photo. I'm used to that and it has become normal for me. "I am a different person when around those I trust, like my friends and family. With others, maybe I'm a little shy. "With the people I know, I'm normal and in good spirits and try to enjoy every moment." Since arriving at the Parc de Princes stadium in the summer, the Argentine has four goals and three assists in 12 games in all competitions - with three of those coming in the Champions League.
