Hero Jordan Henderson tries to prevent Liverpool fan from taking shirt off child

The exchange happened at the end of Liverpool's win at Crystal Palace

Video footage has emerged of Jordan Henderson intervening to stop a Liverpool fan, after a shirt he had gifted to a child had been taken by another fan. The incident occurred at the end of Liverpool's win against Crystal Palace on Sunday, where goals from Virgil Van Dijk, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Fabinho secured the win. Liverpool's third wasn't without controversy after VAR adjudged Diogo Jota to have been fouled by Vicente Guaita, despite replays showing there was little the Spanish goalkeeper could do as Jota ran into him. At the full-time whistle, Henderson went over to thank the travelling support at Selhurst Park, where he then made a young fan's day by handing his match worn shirt to them. However, another fan soon grabbed the shirt off the child - which didn't go unnoticed by the Reds captain as the 31-year-0ld gestured to the fan to hand the shirt back. https://twitter.com/LFCJaake/status/1485379431510290447 Stewards in the away end at Selhurst Park were also alerted to the scene before Henderson informed the fan who had the shirt taken from them, that he would go back to get another one to make up for missing out on the original. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be seen in the background celebrating with supporters before he later treated some travelling members to a handful of beers for their journey back to Merseyside. The win for Liverpool means they are now nine points behind runaway league leaders Manchester City, but could have the opportunity to cut the deficit to six due to having a game in hand on Pep Guardiola's side.
