Liverpool's kit this season has reflected the football they've been playing; simple, nothing fancy, and beautiful. If this carries on into next season, their football will have an added air of sophistication and smartness, as their new kit features a collar.
Images reveal show Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk donning the new shirt and it's safe to say New Balance have done it again. The brand are fast making a name for themselves as one of the best kit makers in the business.

There is only so much you can do with the brief of 'keep it red', but they've pulled the rabbit out the hat with this one. The white trim around the shoulders and the smart, one button collar lifts this season's 8/10 shirt to a solid 9.5.
The collar is a dying feature of football kits, but there is no reason for it to be. We sometimes see the grandad collar with two buttons, as Real Madrid had in 2014/15, but an actual collar adds so much more character to a jersey. You can still have all the dryfit technology you need, ventilation holes, the whole shabang, but more kits should have collars. Big up to New Balance for creating this masterpiece.
