Despite their poor campaign, home form under Lampard has improved somewhat. The Toffees have taken seven points from their last three home games under the former Chelsea star, however Chelsea's away form is also excellent - winning eight and drawing one of their last nine games on the road.
Ahead of the fixture, Lampard insisted that he and his team will do everything possible to ensure Everton avoid the drop.
"I see a group here at Everton that are really good lads trying to stay in the league," he said.
"We need to keep that spirit because spirit in football is a huge thing. At the minute the lads are very together and fighting together and I need to lead that.
"We understand how important it is for us to stay in the league, but no one gets a free ticket. There are things I see long-term that I want to change to make the club better and I’ve had great support in that."
