Manchester United fans have been whipped into a frenzy on social media after they spotted David De Gea meeting one of their current players.
De Gea had been spotted in Manchester earlier this week after posting a picture on Instagram of himself sat by a tennis court, sparking speculation that a return may be on the cards.
The Spaniard then went one step further as he shared a snap of him dining with Man United defender Sergio Reguilon - who joined on loan from Tottenham this summer.
As expected, the sighting of the 'keeper alongside Reguilon has now got fans talking of a return even more.
"Hopefully, we let him train at Carrington to maintain his fitness. It's time to show him the class he deserves," said one fan.
Another wrote: "Still not over the fact, we didn't get a proper goodbye.
"De Gea is asking for a job back at United," a third said.
A fourth commented: "He's coming back, isn't he?"
The ‘keeper left United after 12 years at the club following Erik ten Hag’s decision to retract the contract offer sent to the number one at the last minute.
Andre Onana was brought in to replace De Gea but the 27-year-old has had a shaky start to life at Old Trafford while his predecessor is still without a club after he failed to receive any concrete offers.
