Two European clubs are interested in signing Daniel Sturridge

Two European clubs are said to be interested in signing Daniel Sturridge from Liverpool.

According to The Telegraph and ESPN, Sevilla want to sign Sturridge this month, and the Spanish club have had a loan bid for the striker rejected. Inter Milan have expressed an interest in the player, who Liverpool are reportedly prepared to sell if a club meets their £30m valuation, while Southampton and West Ham have also been linked with a move. Sturridge has reportedly told Liverpool that he wants to leave the club after five years at Anfield. The 28-year-old wants to play first-team football, to help his chances of making England's World Cup squad, and he's unlikely to get that at Liverpool for the rest of the season. Roberto Firmino is Jurgen Klopp's first-choice to start up-front, and Dominic Solanke was signed from Chelsea last summer. Sturridge has only made nine appearances in the Premier League so far this season. Liverpool are reportedly prepared to let Sturridge leave on loan if they receive a fee, but they would prefer a permanent deal this month, and feel that, despite his fitness and injury issues in recent seasons, he's worth £30m in the current transfer market. Reports in Italy claim that Inter want to sign the striker on loan for the rest of the season, and then potentially sign him on a permanent deal in the summer. West Ham could have room in their squad for the player if Andy Carroll's transfer to Chelsea goes through, or if they can sell Javier Hernandez this month. The former Manchester City striker is arguably among the best finishers in the Premier League, but he has had a difficult couple of seasons at Anfield. From the time he joined the club in January 2013, to the end of the 2013/14 season, Sturridge scored an impressive 35 goals. However, since then, he has scored only 28 goals.
