Christian Eriksen could be in line for a return to the Premier League after reports emerged that Brentford are in talks to offer the Denmark international a route back into football.
The Athletic have said that the Bees have offered the 29-year-old a six-month deal, with an option to extend for a further year.

Eriksen is currently without a club after he left Italian giants Inter Milan last month following an agreement to terminate his contract.
The midfielder wasn't allowed to play in the Serie A due to having a implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD) fitted - with league rules stating that he would only be allowed to play if he has the device removed.
Eriksen has yet to play since suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's European Championship's opening group stage game against Finland and had been recently training with Danish side Odense Boldklub where he played between 2005 and 2008.
Earlier this month, the former Tottenham Hotspur man expressed his desire to find a club in order to help him get into contention for a place at this year's World Cup in Qatar - due to start in November.
The Premier League seems like the most viable destination, with reports suggesting that several Premier League clubs have been in discussion with Eriksen over a return to England's top-flight.
The idea of returning to the Premier League seems like a genuine possibility after his agent Martin Schoots said it would “feel like coming home” if Eriksen chose to do so.
