Martial appeared from the bench as United defeated Arsenal 2-1 on Sunday in Arsene Wenger's final visit to Old Trafford before he steps down as Gunners manager in the summer.
Martial briefly acknowledged the 68-year-old on the sidelines, later tweeting 'tribute to a legend' with an image of the pair.

The tweet has since received over 10,000 retweets. It has also, for some reason, given some Arsenal fans hope that Martial may yet end up plying his trade at The Emirates next season.
