Croatia finished second in the group containing Belgium, Canada and Morocco, and advanced past Japan via a penalty shootout in the last 16.
In the quarter-finals, Croatia came up against Brazil, who were the favourites to win the tournament. Yet, the nation of four million people prevailed and won a dramatic penalty shootout.
The beaten 2018 finalists will be hoping to dispatch Argentina and go one step further in Sunday's final.
