He began the season at Arsenal and suffered a humiliating defeat to Liverpool, whom he joined immediately afterwards. Liverpool were then put to the sword by Man City and it seemed like Ox was carrying some sort of curse. Since then, he's steadily improved and would have been a definite starter for England at the World Cup had he not suffered a devastating knee injury during the first leg of Liverpool's Champions League semi-final against Roma.
