Heineken have given one lucky fan a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Champions League final.
Forest Robinson won a competition and was gifted a single ticket to the final to watch the match solo.
But he did not bank on just how solo he would be, being placed in the most isolated seat in the Puskás Aréna.
However, his night was completely turned around as thanks to Heineken, he was joined for the match by UEFA Champions League legend Xavi.
Heineken believes that Fans Have More Friends.
The shared love of sport brings people together and creates meaningful friendships with complete strangers.
But not everyone is lucky enough to say that the friend they made at the Champions League final, is one who has actually won four Champions League titles as a key member of a legendary Barcelona team.
Heineken wanted to find a fan who would be willing to watch club football’s biggest event in football all alone, simply for the love of the game.
But they had not bargained for just how alone they would be, sitting on a solo seat without neighbours either side.
Forest Robinson, who had travelled all the way from Australia, took his seat ready for the match, before being joined by iconic Barcelona and Spain midfielder, Xavi, who revealed a secret hidden seat built into the existing solo seat and sat down before surprising the lucky fan.
But that wasn’t even the peak of Forest’s night.
Xavi then took him to Heineken’s hospitality Skybox, where the pair met with other fans and sat together to enjoy the game.
Following Gabriel’s missed penalty, which sealed the win for PSG, Forest was taken pitchside to watch Champions League trophy lift, toasting the moment with Xavi and former PSG star, David Luiz, embodying Heineken’s Fans Have More Friends ethos.
Xavi was quoted as saying, “As a player, some of my best memories in football came from sharing big moments with teammates and fans.
"The Champions League Final is the biggest stage in club football, and you never know who the game might bring you together with along the way.
"It was special to help Heineken® turn Forest’s seat into an experience they will never forget, and to show the power football has to connect people who may only have met because of the match.”
