He’ll never do that again
One Sheffield Wednesday fan was left regretting his decision to rip up his tickets for their League One play-off semi final second leg against Peterborough United.
Although the odds were heavily stacked against Darren Moore’s side, Wednesday came from four goals down to win on penalties after a 5-1 win in normal and extra time left the aggregate score at 5-5.
Wednesday held their nerve in the penalty shoot out and completed one of the most famous comebacks in football to leave them one game away from a return to the Championship.
However one Owls supporter was left cursing his decision after appearing to rip up his tickets following their heavy first leg defeat in a viral video on Twitter.
After receiving over 2m views, Wednesday fans went back to troll the supporter after missing the game of a lifetime at Hillsborough.
“I hope they somehow blacklist you from getting tickets so you have to buy it of a tout,” wrote one fan.
Another tweeted: “You definitely had to wipe the tears away to record this.”
A third said: “Imagine missing that game for a few likes.”
But the fan – who seemingly didn’t rip up the barcode – didn’t seem bothered by the the never-ending trolling he was being subjected to.
In another video after the full time whistle, he said: “Thanks for all the nibbles lads see you at f****** Wembley I love my club,” while kissing a bottle of beer.
The fan hasn’t confirmed if he attended the game but he has continued to be slammed by fellow Wednesday fans on Twitter.
