Manchester City will be the subject of a new Amazon Prime documentary, it was announced on Thursday.
Slated for a 2018 release, the programme is set to give a behind-the-scenes view of the club throughout their current campaign and will be available to viewers in over 200 countries.
“Amazon Prime Video is the perfect home for a ground-breaking project that will offer a unique and authentic inside view into Manchester City’s season like never before," said the club's CEO Ferran Soriano.
“This is an extremely exciting time for Manchester City and through Amazon’s world-class service, we will be able to share it with football fans all over the world.”
This is, of course, not the first time in recent years that a Premier League club has been featured in a documentary. Imaginatively named 'Being: Liverpool' charted Liverpool's players and then-manager Brendan Rodgers as they prepared for the start of the 2012/13 season, and is fondly remembered (not always for the right reasons) by many fans.
Much has changed in the world of football in the time since. Take Raheem Sterling, for example. Then a promising 17-year-old with the audacity to say "steady" to Rodgers, Sterling went on to establish himself in the first team at Anfield before moving on to City for a decent wedge of money a couple of years later.

Sterling references aside, it seemed the announcement reminded many of Being: Liverpool...
