Not Golovkin, not Khan, but Andre Berto will be the next boxer to take on Floyd Mayweather inside the ring.

Floyd Mayweather is officially set to slug it out with the interim WBA welterweight champion in September, so TMZ Sports are reporting. The two fighter have been in talks for weeks, but apparently both camps have confirmed that it's a done deal and the two will fight in Vegas on September 12. Berto (33-3) explained his delight at finally getting to take on Mayweather (48-0). "It's a pleasure and honour to be in this position and I'm lookinh forward to capitalizing on every moment of it," he said. He may be ecstatic, but the fans will undoubtedly feel a little underwhelmed by this fight considering it's the follow up to what was billed as the 'Fight of the Century' against Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather's number 50 better be a good one.
