What a performance

Michael Page has got something special.

Page extended his perfect undefeated record to 13-0 at Bellator 200 on Friday night when he forced opponent David Rickels to give up early on in the second round.

In his native London, Page put on a striking clinic against the former Bellator lightweight title challenger to prove that he’s one of the most exciting fighters in the organisation.

‘Venom’ dominated the opening frame as he consistently found Rickels’ chin with stellar straight punches and a spinning wheel kick that brought the fans in the SSE Arena to their feet.

Page was so confident in his ability to toy with his opponent that he treated himself to a celebratory dance between rounds before the domination returned immediately after the second round started.

A devastating right hand from Page opened up a cut over Rickels’ left eye, prompting Page to laugh before Rickels decided he’d had enough and told referee Rob Hinds that he didn’t want to continue.

Famed for his post-fight celebrations, Page paid homage to Thanos after the 13th victory of his career as he clutched the Infinity Gauntlet.

The 31-year-old then made it clear that he was a huge Fortnite fan when, like Antoine Griezmann, he celebrated with the ‘Take the L’ dance from the popular video game.

It went down very well with fight fans.
