An absolute bargain

Fans of EA Sports’ FIFA game series in India were treated to a bargain after they were reportedly able to purchase FIFA 23 for just $0.06 due to a ‘pricing error.’

EA Sports released the trailer for the hotly anticipated game last week, which revealed that the Women’s Super League will be fully licensed for the first time ever.

Fans were able to pre-order the game and according to Redditthose who logged onto the digital platform Epic Games Store in India made a huge saving on their purchase.

A screenshot from one person in the thread showed a picture of their purchase, alongside the caption: “FIFA 23: Ultimate Edition’ listed for ₹4,800 which exchanges to $0.06.”

In the UK, ₹4,800 is the equivalent of £5 – which in itself is an absolute bargain. Gamers in India were able to purchase the game for the ridiculously cheap price for up to an hour, before the error was later fixed.

What do you get with FIFA 23: Ultimate Edition?

Ultimate Edition is the most expensive edition of the game and is retailing at £89.99 on the Playstation Store. Buyers of that edition will get the following features:

  • Limited Time FIFA World Cup FUT Hero Item (If pre-ordered before August 22)
  • Three days early access (Play the game from September 27 instead of September 30)

  • FUT Team Of The Week 1 player item
  • Kylian Mbappe loan player for five Ultimate Team matches
  • FUT Ambassador loan pack (Choose Alphonso Davies, Son Heung-min or Vinicius Jr. for three games)
  • 4600 FIFA points

FIFA 23 will be the last in the series before the name of the game has a rebrand and will be known as ‘EA Sports FC’ as of 2023.
