FIFA 17 Ratings Refresh sees Liverpool and Everton men among the biggest climbers

Here are the major ups and downs.

FIFA 17 has embarked on its mid-season ‘ratings refresh’, with players from across the world’s top leagues seeing their ratings increase off the back of their real life performances.

In the Premier League, this has unsurprisingly led to a number of players from league leaders Chelsea see their ratings climb, with N’Golo Kanté and Marcos Alonso both seeing a two-point increase (from 81 to 83 and 77 to 79 respectively).

But a few players had even more impressive increases, including two men who play their football on opposite sides of the Merseyside rivalry.

Sadio Mané has been a key man for Liverpool since joining from Southampton, leading to a three-point climb from 79 to 82 – the same as his former Saints teammate Virgil van Dijk.

But that is nothing compared to one man plying his trade in the blue half of the city.

Idrissa Gueye has been a revelation since joining Everton from Aston Villa over the summer, and his rating of 82 is up six points from the start of the season.

Not all the changes are positive, though. Manchester City duo Claudio Bravo and Nicolas Otamendi are both on the wane, as are Leicester’s title-winning centre-backs Robert Huth and Wes Morgan, among others.

You can find full details of the ratings refresh here, with a selection of the players on the rise in the image below, while EA Sports will unveil similar ratings refreshes for other leagues over the coming 10 days.
