The Hunger Games.

Feyenoord striker Michiel Kramer has been disciplined by the club after he was caught by television cameras eating a croquette on the touchline.

Kramer could be seen tucking into the snack during Feyenoord’s KNVB Cup victory over Heracles on Thursday night.

Feyenoord head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst was not happy with his player’s conduct when asked about it in his post-match interview.

“I just got it in the locker room and I’m not happy with it. We will talk to Michiel about this tomorrow.”

Kramer will not be considered for selection for Sunday’s clash with Roda JC Kerkrade. He has also received a fine. Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel was also less than impressed with the 29-year-old forward.

“Michiel’s action is unprofessional and, in our opinion, unacceptable, and this behavior does not fit within the top-class sport climate that we have at Feyenoord and within the exemplary role that our players have.”

He’s been banished from first-team training and one suspects he’ll think twice about eating in front of the television cameras next time.
