A round of applause is in order

Everton today made history as they became the first club in history to use only players from their women’s team in a kit launch.

The Merseyside club launched their new grey and pink away kit with a video as part of the #WhatIf campaign. The video starred stars of their women’s team including Chloe Kelly, Megan Finnigan, Danielle Turner and Kirsty Levell.

“I am delighted to be a part of this ground-breaking, inspirational campaign,” Everton captain Turner said.

“To be the first women’s team to be given this opportunity is a real reflection of Everton’s one-club philosophy and their commitment to growing the profile of the women’s game.”

On top of history being made, the kit itself is a beauty. Umbro have pulled it out the bag this summer with their new releases, as have Everton with their progressive campaign to launch it.
