Even the police are taking the p*ss out of Australia’s cricketers

For an Englishman, there was plenty to find amusing about the fourth Ashes test.

When any team takes a battering, it goes with the territory that you’ll be the butt of all the jokes. But the reaction to Australia’s collapse at the hands of Stuart Broad has been typically unforgiving.

Things were so bad for Michael Clarke’s men in Nottingham that even the local police were lining up to take the p*ss out of them, responding to calls asking to help the Australian cricketers as they were ‘taking a hammering’ at Trent Bridge.
