The Colombian striker has been dubbed the Premier League’s ‘super-sub’ and now a huge outfit are reportedly watching.
A European giant have reportedly expressed ‘serious interest’ in Aston Villa’s young prodigy Jhon Duran, as per sources.
In fine form, Duran is currently contracted at Villa Park until 2028.
Having scored four league goals so far this season, the 20-year-old Colombian has been dubbed a ‘super-sub’, scoring winners off the bench against West Ham United, Leicester City and Everton.
His thunder-strike versus the Toffees to complete a spectacular comeback will undoubtedly go down as one of the goals of the Premier League season.
Having flirted with a move to the Irons this summer, Duran then committed to Villa in the end and has since been in stellar form.
And now, according to El Nacional, European giants Barcelona are expressing ‘serious interest’ in the player.
According to the source, sporting director Deco has already made contact with the club over a potential transfer for the player.
It is not yet understood whether Villa would be open to a sale of the player, however he is reportedly seen as a ‘long-term successor’ to Robert Lewandowski.
Duran has become an instant fans favourite at Villa Park following his exceptional performances this season and brilliant eye for goal.
