An English football club have been charged for breaching Football Agent Regulations, with the Football Association releasing a statement on Thursday afternoon.
The FA Spokesperson took to X to confirm that Burnley Football Club and an agent 'have been charged with alleged misconduct of breaches of the Football Agent Regulations relating to one transaction'.
The club and the agent have until Tuesday 3 November 2026 to provide their responses.
It has not been confirmed as to who the transaction is in relation to, or who the agent is.
The Clarets have endured a tough start to life back in the Championship, with the club winning only one of their opening ten matches in the division.
Nicky Hayen's men thrashed Watford 4-0 in their only victory, with the Hornets now sitting below the Lancastrian club at 22nd in the table.
Since then, the newly formed side fell to a last minute 2-2 draw at home to Charlton Athletic, conceding a last minute equaliser.
