Eddie Hearn thinks Tyson Fury’s record is ‘laughable’ when compared to Anthony Joshua’s.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Eddie Hearn said the list of opponents Tyson Fury has faced does not lay a glove on Anthony Joshua’s record.

Hearn said: “It makes me laugh when people look at AJ’s resumé. Maybe I’m seeing something other people don’t?

“I mean, Dillian Whyte, Dominic Breazeale, Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, Carlos Takam previously that I missed out, Andy Ruiz, Kubrat Pulev.”

After reeling off the list of opponents Joshua has faced, Hearn then took aim at Fury’s previous conquests.

“These are consecutive fights. You don’t see Tom Schwarz, Otto Wallin, Sefer Serferi. Who is the other geezer? I can’t even remember his name, the Italian bloke? And then Agit Kabayel.

“I mean it’s laughable when you compare the two resumés, but it’s in black and white for everyone to see.”

Anthony Joshua currently holds the WBO (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles. He will put said titles on the line when he goes up against Kubrat Pulev on December 12th, live on Sky Sports Box Office. A victory against Pulev is likely to open the door to a true clash-of-the-titans match-up against Fury.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is presently embroiled in a bitter dispute with Deontay Wilder’s camp regarding the possibility of a third bout in their saga. This dispute has shelved Fury’s planned December fight – against Agit Kabayel.

If Fury’s recent social media activity is anything to go by, you won’t be seeing him again until the new year.

A tweet posted by Fury read:

“The Gypsy King is returning in 2021. Only those that have supported me 100% since my comeback will be with me for the glory.”
