Eagle-eyed fans noticed an interesting detail about Barcelona’s Coutinho announcement video

To be fair, they had time to prepare.

Another saga is complete. Just like Fabregas to Barcelona, Bale to Real Madrid, Suarez to Barcelona and countless other inevitable transfers that were drawn out to death, Philippe Coutinho is off to Barcelona in a deal worth a deal worth £142m.

While Jürgen Klopp was upbeat about the transfer and stressed that “we (Liverpool) have never been in a better position in recent times,” Jamie Carragher has urged the club to spend the money wisely.

Liverpool fans don’t seem too upset about the whole deal – it’s a terrific piece of business considering they bought the Brazilian for just £8.5m in 2013 – and the majority of football fans are happy that another saga is now over.

Yep, we now only have the story of Alexis Sanchez joining Man City to keep us banging our heads against the wall.

While the timing of Coutinho’s transfer was a little bit odd – most of us expected the inevitable to happen in the summer –  nobody was exactly surprised by Coutinho’s move to the Nou Camp, especially since the player wasn’t exactly shy about expressing his desire to join the Catalan giants over the summer.

This being said, some football fans noticed one unusual detail about Barcelona’s method of announcing the Brazilian’s transfer. Much like any major move, Barcelona announced the move via social media but it appears that they already had this video raring to go.

Take a look at the video below.

The whole thing is pretty crap as Barcelona somehow manage to make the signing of the world’s second most expensive player seem dull, but there’s one interesting detail.

When the club go to ‘like’ Coutinho’s Facebook page, you can clearly see that the date on his page is August 8th.

Granted, we all knew that the move would happen but it’s a little bit cheeky/lazy on the part of Barca’s social media team and people noticed it.
