Clarence Seedorf was as successful as they come throughout his playing career, and reportedly wants to repeat the feat as a manager in England.

The former Dutch international won the Champions League with three different clubs, featuring in AC Milan’s midfield when they beat Liverpool in the 2007 final.

He also spent 22 games in charge of the Italian giants, and has said it would be an honour to take the top job with a Premier League club.

Speaking to the BBC, Seedorf said he would hope to bring a combination of “The good possession and organised football of [the] Dutch school and the attacking mentality of the Spanish.

“The most important thing for me is to value the players, and try to improve them individually in order to improve the team,” he added.

Seedorf has been linked with the manager’s job at Newcastle United, where Steve McClaren is already under pressure, and managerless Championship side QPR.
