Didier Drogba taunts Theo Walcott after Chelsea’s humbling by Arsenal

It wasn't a great day for Drogba's old side

With a little help from Gary Cahill, Arsenal blew Chelsea away in the first half of their match at the Emirates on Saturday evening.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil sealed a convincing 3-0 victory over their London rivals, leaving Antonio Conte with plenty to ponder ahead of Chelsea’s next match at Hull next week.

For many, this was one of the most convincing displays from an Arsene Wenger side in the last few years, whereas Chelsea lacked organisation in defence and struggled to put Arsenal under pressure at the opposite end of the field.

Didier Drogba, a man that racked up 16 goals in fixtures between the two clubs during his time with Chelsea, had his say on the matter in a post-match tweet to Theo Walcott.

After full-time, Walcott had tweeted a picture of himself celebrating his goal in the match, reminding everyone of the score at the same time.

In response to this, Drogba suggested that things might well have panned out differently if he was still around.

At least we *think* that’s what his reference to ‘dancing mouses’ and cats was getting at.

Arsenal are now third in the Premier League, and host FC Basel in the Champions League before facing Burnley at Turf Moor next Sunday.
