Danny Welbeck will leave Arsenal this summer, it has been confirmed. Welbeck's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and it was announced during an on-field presentation following Arsenal's final home game of the campaign at The Emirates on Sunday that the 28-year-old will not be extending his stay with the north London club. Club chairman Sir Chips Keswick made the announcement over the PA system, saying that Welbeck's "presence will be missed in the dressing room." Unai Emery also confirmed Welbeck's departure during his press conference. "I spoke with the club and the decision is he is going to leave," he explained. Welbeck joined Arsenal from Manchester United in 2014. He has gone on to make 126 appearances for the club, scoring 32 goals. His final season with the club was ended in November after he sustained a serious ankle injury during a Europa League game against Sporting Lisbon. It's unclear where the striker will move to next, though he has been linked with free transfers to Galatasaray and Newcastle United in recent months. He joins Petr Cech and Aaron Ramsey in saying farewell to the club. Ramsey, who has spent 11 years with the Gunners, will depart for Juventus over the summer and broke down in tears as he waved goodbye to the club's supporters on Sunday.
