Dana White has said Conor McGregor’s wish to fight Rafael dos Anjos is “crazy”.
The pair will fight at UFC 196 on March 5th for the lightweight world title, and White for McGregor to be so willing to take on such an dangerous opponent speaks volumes for his confidence.
“Conor wants to be a two-belt champion,” the UFC president told “Opie with Jim Norton” last week.”
“If you look at that guy, look what he did to ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, look what he did to Ben Henderson, look what he did to Anthony Pettis. And now Conor wants to fight this guy. It’s gonna be awesome.”
White goes on to say McGregor’s abrasive style is more than just mere trash talking, and likened it to “mental warfare.”
“It’s not even about sh*t talk with this guy. His mental warfare game is better than anything I’ve ever seen in how he gets in guys’ heads immediately. Very intelligent, calculated.”
