Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. puts father to shame with four goals on Juventus debut

Ronaldo has yet to find the net since moving from Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. is enjoying much better luck in front of his goal in Turin than his father.

The eldest son of Ronaldo followed the Portuguese superstar to Juventus this summer but while one has been struggling with the change in surroundings, the other appears to be flourishing.

Ronaldo Jr. made his debut for Juventus’ U9 side this weekend and he announced himself in some style, finding the net on four occasions according to reports.

Andrea Barzagli’s son Mattia and Claudio Marchisio’s son David are now teammates of Ronaldo Jr. but they could only watch on in awe as the eight-year-old ran riot in front of goal.

Juventus’ £99 million summer signing could perhaps do with some finishing lessons from his son, however, as Ronaldo remains without a goal in his three Serie A appearances so far this season.

Ronaldo will have to wait until after the international break to score his first goal for the Old Lady and he will next get the opportunity when Juventus host Sassuolo in two weeks.

“[Cristiano Jr.] is very competitive, he’s like me when I was young,” the 33-year-old told DAZN after moving to Juve.

“He doesn’t like to lose and he will be like me, I’m sure, 100 per cent.

“I like to teach him some stuff, but he’s going to be whatever he wants and I’m always going to support him.

“But of course I want Cristiano to be a football player, because I think he has that drive. He has a good body, he’s fast, he has skills, he shoots good.”
