If Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to keep a future move to MLS under his hat, he's doing a pretty poor job of it.
The Real Madrid star has fuelled yet more speculation he will follow the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard to America in years to come by buying a house there. The Portuguese wizard has just splashed out on a megabucks pad in New York which will only add fuel to rumours that he wants to end his career in the US. He has just bought an $18.5m apartment in 'Trump Tower', owned by US billionaire and presidential candidate Donald Trump, which will surely put New York City and rivals Red Bulls on alert. It's more than eight year since a certain David Beckham scored his first goal for LA Galaxy, but it might be another three years before we see Ronaldo pulling on his boots in America's top league, as his contract runs until 2018.
