Those UFC contracts tend to be pretty watertight
One can’t imagine a scenario in which the UFC agrees to part company with its biggest cash-cow but the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is hoping to test the waters with a lucrative offer for Conor McGregor, if Paulie Malignaggi is to be believed.
Malignaggi recently signed a deal with BKFC which will see the former two-weight world champion ditch the gloves for a fight this summer.
Given the animosity that exists between Malignaggi and McGregor stemming back to their contentious sparring sessions in the build-up to the Irishman’s professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather, many felt that it was something of an inevitability that Malignaggi would take on McGregor’s long-time training partner Artem Lobov, who is also contracted to BKFC.
But whatever money Malignaggi versus Lobov would make pales in comparison to a potential Malignaggi vs McGregor grudge match and the New Yorker wasted no time in attempting to make it happen.

BKFC President Dave Feldman has money at his disposal and apparently, he’s going to be sending ‘The Notorious’ an offer in the very near-future.
“I will tell you this, Feldman and BKFC have more money than people think and there will be an offer for Conor McGregor,” Malignaggi told talkSPORT.
“The money he’s gonna be offered for the fight will show what a fraud he is or, like he has always done, put a price tag on him becoming a piñata for you.

“If you pay him enough money, he will become your personal piñata and he’s shown that already.
“The money he’s going to be offered is going to be a good amount of money. I think it will come out soon, it was gonna come out already, but he got arrested.
“The money he’s gonna be offered will show if he’s a fraud, because to turn that down shows you really are a fraud. But if he takes it then he’ll obviously become my personal piñata.
“He already was in the gym, but this time when I’m in shape he’ll really be a piñata.
“When I’m in shape enough to follow up on all the assaults I am giving you, you’re gonna really be my piñata. We’ll see what his decision is.”
