This season will be based on a Europe vs USA format, with McGregor taking control of Team Europe.
He will coach opposite Mendes' teammate Urijah Faber, but the fighters, who clashed during the weigh-ins for UFC 189, will not fight at the end of the season.

The season premieres on September 9th, and it makes sense for the UFC to draft in their biggest draw to attempt to revive a reality show whose popularity has waned in recent years.
