Coach who called Moyes a “dinosaur” takes aim at Wenger due to injury crisis

Hope the Gunnersaurus doesn't take offence

Christmas is coming, so it’s time for another Arsenal injury crisis.

Recent wins over Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been somewhat soured by the losses of Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott.

Arsene Wenger stands on the brink of yet another injury crisis, and a familiar non-face has popped up to criticise the Arsenal manager once more. And we don’t just mean the fans.

Verheijen has been an outspoken critic of English clubs’ management of players in the past, most famously describing David Moyes as “a dinosaur” after Robin van Persie suffered an injury under his watch which Verheijen believes was down to overtraining.

During Arsenal’s 3-0 League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, Sky claimed that Wenger instructed Walcott to take to the field to replace Oxlade-Chamberlain without warming up. A few minutes later, he had to be replaced himself.
