Fighter charged in Conor McGregor van attack books new fight

He's coming to Belfast

A fighter best known for his alleged involvement in the Conor McGregor bus attack has a pro fight coming up.

Remember that other fighter who appeared in New York City court with Conor McGregor? He’s an 0-1 SBG welterweight by the name of Cian Cowley.

Cowley was part of the group which joined McGregor in his infamous bus attack at UFC 223 media day at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Cowley and McGregor were both charged with one count of criminal mischief apiece. McGregor was also charged with three counts of assault for allegedly throwing the dolly through the red corner fighters’ van’s window. Two fighters were injured and three bouts scheduled for UFC 223 were forced to be cancelled over the incident.

McGregor and Cowley will have their next court date in New York on June 14. Just a few days before that, Cowley will be fighting in Belfast. He has been booked to fight Daniel Olejniczak (1-1) of Poland on the Brave 13 card on June 9.

The card will be headlined by fellow SBG fighter Frans Mlambo taking on champion Stephen Loman. Bushmills’ Norman Parke will rematch Myles Price in the co-main event.
