As Celtic fans will testify, there's plenty of reasons to be excited about Kieran Tierney.
Still just 20 years of age, the youngster has long since established himself as the Scottish champions' first choice left-back and has been tipped to be a future club captain by Brendan Rodgers.
Already a full international for Scotland, it was decided that - despite his tender years - Tierney would lead out his national side for their friendly with the Netherlands on Thursday night: Malky Mackay deciding he should wear the armband in the absence of senior squad members Scott Brown and Darren Fletcher.
Speaking ahead of the game, Chris Sutton, a former Celtic player, made it clear how highly he rated Tierney, describing him as "the best British-born full-back" around.
"He's the best British-born full-back in Britain, for me," he said. "He's 20 years old. You look at the likes of Kyle Walker, [he's] 28; [Ryan] Bertrand, I think he's 28; Danny Rose, all good players.
"That boy is going places. Celtic have done the right thing, putting him on a six-year contract. I'd love to know what the trigger clause is. It has to be £30m plus - at least."
