Even if they hadn't been beaten by Palace, this still probably wasn't a smart move.
Crystal Palace have had an awful start to the Premier League season, losing their first seven games, failing to score a single goal and losing their manager Frank De Boer just two months into the new season. So what else could we expect but a Chelsea video about their shortcomings?
As true as all of those things may be, it was was tempting fate for Chelsea to highlight their opponent's mishaps this season in a pre-game package, put it online and expect that karma wouldn't catch up with them.
Not only did the video include the details of Palace's difficult start, but it also showed a particularly harsh graphic of Roy Hodgson in distress (something the internet has been flooded with since his stints as manager of Liverpool and England).

Palace beat Chelsea 2-1 after a Wilfried Zaha goal did enough to knock Chelsea out of the top four.
Many took to Twitter after the result to point out just why Chelsea shouldn't have been so quick to highlight their opponent's record-breaking start to the season.
