Celtic hand full-time professional contract to 15-year-old sensation Karamoko Dembélé

Celtic have handed 15-year-old sensation Karamoko Dembélé his first full-time professional contract, keeping him at the club until 2021

What were you doing at 15?

Not playing professional football, I’d imagine. Most 15-year-old boys spend their free time playing Call of Duty, hopelessly trying to chat up girls and well, you know.

Not Karamoko Dembélé, though. He’s got much bigger fish to fry, after Celtic handed the teenage sensation his first full-time professional contract with the club.

Dembélé – no relation to Mousa or Moussa – has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Celtic until 2021, by which time he will be… 18.

The winger first made a name for himself when October 2016 when he made his debut for Celtic’s under-20 development team at the age of 13.

Since then he has represented both Scotland and England at youth level, having been born in London to Ivorian parents before moving to Glasgow as a baby.

The teenager will wear the number 77 for the Hoops.
