He's been struggling with a hip injury

Great Britain’s highest ranked player will be Kyle Edmund

Andy Murray will not be taking part at Wimbledon this summer after pulling out with an injury.

The Scotsman has been battling with a hip injury for a long time now and looked rusty in his 6-4, 6-4 defeat to fellow Brit Kyle Edmund at Eastbourne this week.

Edmund was already Britain’s highest ranked player going into the tournament, after Murray slid down the rankings due to his prolonged inactivity.

The favourite to win the men’s championship at Wimbledon this summer is Roger Federer.
