Both sides of the Arsene Wenger debate made their feelings known at Wrestlemania 33

Big Arsenal fanbase in Orlando

Arsene Wenger is all that anybody can talk about nowadays.

Will he stay or will he go?

The Arsenal manager has come under fire in the past but he’s never faced the kind of criticism that he’s experienced since the turn of the year as it begins to look increasingly likely that the Gunners will fail to make the top four of the Premier League for the first time since the 1995/96 season.

It’s been suggested that the Frenchman will continue as the longest-serving manager in the English top flight for at least another season, which has divided opinion among Wenger loyalists and the significantly more vocal anti-Wenger brigade.

Banners calling for Wenger to leave the post he has held for over two decades are popping up anywhere and everywhere, with the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida the latest location to host some unhappy Arsenal supporters.

You’ve probably already seen the pictures of the ‘Wenger Out’ banner that showed up behind Wrestlemania 33’s pre-show presenter Sam Roberts on Sunday night before the action got underway in the ring.

Well you probably didn’t see that there was actually some support for the 67-year-old in the crowd too as a ‘Wenger In’ poster showed up to offer a counter-point to the original sign.

Wenger’s position remains in serious jeopardy and fans from both sides of the debate seemed to turn on one another during and after the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Manchester City as crowd violence broke out in the stands and outside the Emirates following the full-time whistle.

Odds on Arsenal’s next permanent manager continue to plummet, with Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri the current favourite to take over from Wenger.

And as much as we appreciate seeing some Wenger banter, those posters pale in comparison to this masterpiece that was brought along to Wrestlemania a few years ago.

Now there’s no arguing with that.
