Borussia Dortmund want Callum Hudson-Odoi to be their next Jadon Sancho

The Dortmund winger’s success is said to be a key selling point as they look to attract fresh talent

Jadon Sancho’s future is set to be a big talking point in the upcoming summer transfer window but Borussia Dortmund are reportedly aiming to add to their stock of young English talent, with Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Manchester United are among those thought to be pushing to sign the German club’s current teenage winger, who has impressed by registering ten goals and 17 assists across all competitions since signing from Manchester City.

Rated at £100 million, the 18-year-old’s rapid development at Dortmund is reported by the Telegraph to be their big selling point in trying to lure Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea. Yet to start a Premier League game, the forward was recently called up by England for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Bayern Munich failed in their attempts to sign Hudson-Odoi in January, bidding Chelsea around £35 million, whilst the West London club are said to be ready to offer him a £70,000-a-week contract in order to prevent his departure.

Dortmund getting involved could spice up the summer and create a potential bidding war, especially given Chelsea’s recent FIFA ban from signing new players. They had already signed Christian Pulisic from the Bundesliga side before that ruling, although Eden Hazard’s future remains in doubt in spite of it.

It seems that Sancho’s and Hudson-Odoi’s futures are inextricably linked in the months ahead, Daily Mirror claiming Borussia are intent on claiming £100m for their teenager before using that money to push for the Chelsea starlet.
