Well-wishes have poured in for Alex Ferguson since it emerged yesterday that the legendary football manager underwent emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage.
Tributes have come in from the former Man United manager's closest friends in the game, as well as his fiercest rivals — a testament to his character, and his impact on the game.
Man City full-back Benjamin Mendy was quick to send his thoughts to Sir Alex, taking to his Twitter to write: "So sad... All our prayers for you Sir Alex."

All too predictably, one apparent Man City fan trolled Mendy for showing compassion towards Ferguson, and even referenced Mendy's religion in the process.

Admirably, Mendy didn't waste any time on politeness when it came to dealing with the troll.
