Foster and Nani reunited together at Soccer Aid

Ben Foster wasn’t hesitant in trying to recruit new signings for Wrexham and opted to go for one of his former Manchester United teammates at Soccer Aid.

Foster recently extended his stay at the Dragons after signing a one-year deal as Wrexham prepare for their first season back in the Football League in 15 years.

The goalkeeper/YouTuber joined towards the end of the previous campaign to help Phil Parkinson’s men lift the National League title.

Away from his day-to-day duties, the 40-year-old was invited to play in this year’s edition of Soccer Aid at Old Trafford alongside several other stars.

One of those included Portuguese winger Nani, who is currently without a club after leaving A-League side Melbourne Victory at the end of the season.

In the exchange, Foster can be heard saying: “Nani hasn’t got a club everybody, I think he should come to Wrexham…”

Nani then replied: “You never know,” however Foster didn’t look too convinced.”

Wrexham have been linked with a host of high-profile names, including Hal Robson-Kanu and Gareth Bale – although the latter is extremely unlikely given that Bale has since retired.

Co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are reportedly set to heavily invest again as Wrexham target back-to-back promotions and will have a wage budget double the size of their fellow rivals.
